This is a general overview of the outside of a bird. Some words you have heard before, like "tail". But I learned a lot of new words in making this guide, and I hope you do as well!

Just so you know, there are many, many more words for specific parts of birds. Alula. Supraorbital ridge. Tonial notch. But I tried to strike a balance where we could all learn something new without spending 15 minutes talking about different features of a bird head. That is a video for a different day.
