In Part 2 of Axl’s Rat Rod Build Series, our 13-year-old builder gets back to work on his 1941 Chevy pickup rat rod by tackling some major teardown and cleanup tasks. Today, Axl removes the gas tank, frees the locked-up rear wheel, cleans out the cab, pulls the headliner, and starts prepping the truck so it can finally roll in and out of the garage.

This is a huge step in the journey toward swapping the classic ’41 Chevy cab onto an S10 frame—and getting the truck mobile means real metal work can begin next.
