I was gifted this Bench Vice a while ago and have been meaning to restore it. It's made from forged steel and very heavy. The jaws open nice and wide and with the adjustable angle base will be perfect for luthiery work. I make musical instruments from time to time and this tool will be a great addition for holding large bodied instruments. It will serve many purposes for metalworking, woodworking, as a machinist and welding. Just what my workshop needs. I like the idea of DIY and making my own Tools, especially if it is a Tool that is not easily found or readily available. Handmade Tools give great satisfaction and for me it is fun knowing that I created something to help me better improve my woodworking experience.
