Michu: Laudrup 'happy' at Swansea

Michael Laudrup claimed that he plans to honour his contract with Swansea City as the English League Cup champions paraded the trophy through the Welsh city on Tuesday.

Laudrup, Swansea City manager:
(Q: How has your day been and the whole weekend?)
"Well I think it's one of those days that will always remain in the history and the memory. You know especially when you win a trophy in general, but when you win a trophy with a smaller team, with a smaller club, with a smaller city and on top of that for the first time, then it is so special. So I think Sunday and today as well will be days to remember for a long, long time."

Miguel Michu, Swansea City forward:
(On Michael Laudrup being an excellent coach)
"This has been a spectacular season and he's a great coach, and was a great footballer. I suppose it is going to get better for everyone here. Like everybody else he would want to coach other brilliant teams and win trophies like the Champions league, but I think he is happy here and we will see what happens."

Michael Laudrup, Swansea City manager:
(Q: What about your future, you've be strongly linked with Real Madrid?)
"I think I have said more than once before that my intention is to stay here. I have one more year left on my contract here at Swansea, but I am aware that when things are going well there is speculation, there are always rumours about coaches and players. It is part of the game, but like I said before my intention is to stay here, then we'll see what happens."
