Two quick ways to prevent throw rugs from sliding on hard floors such as tile, engineered hardwood, vinyl, etc.

How to:

HOT GLUE
1. Hot glue is a great answer to sliding rugs. Turn the rug over with back side up.
2. Heat hot glue gun.
3. Apply lines of hot glue along the edges of the rug about 1 inch in from the edge.
4. Do this about 2 inches apart on all edges.
5. Allow to dry thoroughly prior to putting back on the floor.
6. If you decide to remove it, use a dull straight edge (plastic putty knife, food scrapper) to pop it off.

CAULKING
Silicone or regular caulk works great when putting rugs on hard floors.
1. Turn the rug over and apply a strip of caulk about every two inches around the edge of the rug.
2. Lay rug down.
3. Allow to dry for 24 hours or so until cured and not wet or tacky.
4. To remove, scrape it off.

Warnings & Cautions:
Always be sure the glue or caulking is completely dry before laying rug on floors.
