This is not a competition between strings video. It is just a sound comparison to help with choosing the right strings for your guitar. You can compare the very known and familiar sound of a famous classical guitar set (D'Addario Ej45) with a not so well known set (Aquila Ambra 800).

What cannot be heard in the video:
The Aquila Ambra 800 set is a "historical" guitar set, meaning it imitates strings used in the past, in the pre nylon time. The trebles imitate gut and the basses the silk core basses used back then. Having tried gut trebles and silk basses I have to say that this set is the closest to the sound and feel than any other set on the market.
Other than that, the Ambra 800 is a set that dramatically changes the sound you get from your instrument and that is why I recommend you can try it at least once so you can hear your guitar from a different perspective. You might like it or not like it, but nevertheless it is really different from regular nylon or fluorocarbon than most classical guitarists are used to play with.
