The 2020 NASCAR season was one riddled with uncertainty and impromptu changes. The world was stricken with a global pandemic, which of course meant NASCAR had to postpone their races several weeks into the season. After a few months, NASCAR returned to action with a heavily revised schedule made with current world conditions in mind. In terms of actual racing, the season was mostly dominated by Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin, who had 9 and 7 wins respectively. However, neither ended up winning the championship . Chase Elliott was the one who ended up winning his first career championship. Other notable events from this season include Kyle Larson getting suspended and then fired for a sensitivity problem and Kyle Busch having an off-year coming off a championship season the year prior.
