I did fear the day would be a total washout....literally, the weather was horrible. I almost didn't bother because on top of the rain the wind was forecast to be gusting 30+ knots. I arrived, and there was no wind at all, it picked up enough to entice me out, and I had an hour of just practising taxiing gybes and staying up wind off the foil. It then slowly picked up over the next hour, and then the remainder of the session was one of the best yet. I ended up staying up for nearly 3 hours, only coming in when it started to get too shallow. The only downside is that I used most of the battery up early on, so have hardly any "on foil" footage of the session. Because it was so overcast/wet, I didn't bother coming in to change the battery over; I do wish I had now. #wingfoil #wingfoiling #emsworth #insta360x5
