Senior Chinese government officials and Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang are holding a media briefing at the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing after the US government “assured” the company that “licenses will be granted” for it to resume selling H20 chips in China. During Huang’s previous trip to China in April, he emphasised the significance of the Chinese market. Last week, Nvidia's market value reached US$4 trillion for the first time, cementing the chipmaker's role as a major player in the race to dominate artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
