Bangkok to Ayutthaya Day Trip | Exploring Ancient Temples & Royal Palace

Come with me on a beautiful day trip from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand! In this travel vlog, I explore some of Ayutthaya's most iconic landmarks and historical temples, each filled with centuries of culture, architecture, and beauty.

Places I visited in this vlog:

1. Bang Pa-In Royal Palace – This summer palace once used by Thai kings is a peaceful mix of Thai, Chinese, and European architecture surrounded by lakes and manicured gardens.


2. Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon – Famous for its huge reclining Buddha and towering chedi. The peaceful rows of Buddha statues here are incredibly photogenic.


3. Wat Mahathat – One of the most well-known temples in Ayutthaya, especially for the iconic Buddha head entwined in tree roots.


4. Wat Ratchaburana – Known for its tall prang (Khmer-style tower) and underground crypts, this temple holds treasures of Ayutthaya’s past.


5. Wat Phra Si Sanphet – Once the most important temple in Ayutthaya, it served as the royal temple. The iconic row of three large chedis is a major highlight of the ancient city ruins.
