Daesoonjinrihoe 대순진리회

Daesoonjinrihoe is a religious body originated when Doju* Jo Jeongsan got a heavenly command in 1909, while receiving the revelation of the orthodox religious authority in 1917 from Sangje* Kang (the Supreme Being). This religious body was established in 1969 by Dojeon* Park Wudang upon whom the leadership was bestowed with the last words of Doju Jo in 1958.

The word ‘Daesoon’ means Sangje Kang’s ‘Great Itineration’ around the Three Realms of Heaven, Earth and People along with the subsequent ‘Reordering Works of the Universe’, which were carried out to rectify the world in calamities and to open the Later World of Earthly Paradise.

Daesoonjinrihoe aims to propagate the Daesoon Truth all over the world, save all the people, and to create an Earthly Paradise by renewing human beings and transforming human spirits on the basis of its tenets. To achieve these purposes, Daesoonjinrihoe has been actively carrying out its Basic Works - Propagation, Edification and Cultivation - and the Three Major Works - Charity Aid, Social Welfare and Education.

대순진리회는 조정산 도주께서 1909년 봉천명(奉天命)하시고, 1917년 강성상제로부터 종통계승(宗統繼承)의 계시를 받으신 데서 비롯하여, 도주의 유명(遺命)으로 종통을 이어받으신 박우당 도전에 의해 1969년 창설되었다. 그 명칭에서 ‘대순’은 상제께서 혼란에 빠진 천ㆍ지ㆍ인 삼계를 돌아보시고 이를 바로 잡기 위하여 행하신 개벽공사(開闢公事)를 뜻한다.
본회는 상제의 대순하신 진리인 음양합덕(陰陽合德)ㆍ신인조화(神人調化)ㆍ해원상생(解冤相生)ㆍ도통진경(道通眞境)을 종지(宗旨)로 하여 인간개조와 정신개벽으로 포덕천하, 구제창생, 지상천국 건설을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 포덕ㆍ교화ㆍ수도의 기본사업과 구호자선ㆍ사회복지ㆍ교육의 3대 중요사업을 추진해오고 있다.
