St Mabyn Church is a granite-constructed parish church dedicated to Saint Mabena. The church can be found in the village of St Mabyn, named after Mabena, near Wadebridge in North Cornwall.
The church seen today dates from the Late 15th century however replaced an earlier building. Today, the church consists of three aisles and an 85ft tower. There is an ancient cross in the churchyard which is the oldest object in the church grounds.
More recently, St Mabyn Church was used for interior shots for Martin & Louisa's first wedding (the one which didn't go as planned!) in Doc Martin with outside shots being taken at Lanteglos-by-Camelford Church, around 6.5 miles away as the crow flies.
The parish of St Mabyn is bordered by the parishes of St Tudy, Blisland, Helland, Egloshayle, and St Kew.
