How did our awning survive STORM LILIAN?

In this vlog we visit the beautiful Jurassic Coast in our caravan and stay at West Fleet Caravan Park. This site is just a 10-15 minute drive into Weymouth and 30 minutes from Bridport.
This site is a real hidden gem and boasts 5* facilities including toilet and shower block, an outdoor heated swimming pool and even evening entertainment! We took a stroll through the adjoined fields and found ourselves watching the most beautiful sunset.

Unfortunately whilst we were here, STORM LILIAN hit the UK bringing 50+mph winds and heavy rain distrusting outdoor events. A lot of campers on our site ended up packing up their awnings and tents and some even cut their holidays short! Fortunately for us we were gifted this beautiful Isabella porch awning. We put it up despite the weather warnings and it did not budge!! We're so happy with this awning and are even considering upgrading to a newer, larger model!

The bad weather didn't stop us, we ventured out to the Melplash Show in Bridport, one of the UKs largest country and farming event. Here the kids can get stuck in with lots of fun outdoor educational activities and the street food is insane! The kids love it here!

We also went into Weymouth on a couple of the days where we dined along the harbour and had a ride on a ferry boat.

Once the awful weather had passed we got to enjoy a day on one of the Uks best beaches, Weymouth. Always a gorgeous day here and I love that there is a dedicated section for families with dogs!
