This week, the largest volcanic eruption of 2025 occurred in Ethiopia, generating a plume of ash that even ended up drifting over Mount Everest. Meanwhile, Hawaii's Kilauea volcano produced another series of 500+ foot high lava fountains. And, in Indonesia, a cyclone has disrupted monitoring of a volcano with a likely ongoing magmatic intrusion; Bur ni Telong. Today's video will discuss these stories through the opinion and analysis of a geologist and list the 43 world volcanoes that are actively erupting.
