In today's 4K Сzech Republic Prague Walk, we will complete our journey through Prague 6 Bubeneč. I will show you the oldest train station in the city, "Praha-Dejvice," and the impressive cathedral of the Hussite Church.
03:30 Hus's congregation in Dejvice is the building of the theological college and the seat of the office of the patriarch and founder of the Czechoslovak Church (later the Czechoslovak Hussite Church), dr. Karel Farský. The house was built in the neo-Gothic style from 1925 to 1927. The church itself, situated in the hall of the building, was opened on October 19, 1928. Architect Jiří Stibral designed the building under the direction of builder and architect Alois Zima. It is located in Wuchterlova Street No. 523/5 in Prague 6-Dejvice, facing Šabach Park. In 1990, the building entered the list of cultural monuments and was protected as an immovable monument.

07:00 Praha-Dejvice is a railway station in Prague-Dejvice in the Prague 6 district at Václavkova 169/1 on the Prague - Rakovník line. Located near the Hradčanská metro station, the station building stands at the head of Bachmačské náměstí. It is the oldest railway station in Prague. Initially, the Lánská horse-drawn carriage started here, which from 1830 served mainly for the transport of timber from the Křivoklát forests. The station was located outside the city at the crossroads behind the Písek Gate; the then-built Chotka road solved the insufficient transport connection of this locality with the city center. The original station building dates from the time of the foundation of the railway station in 1831, which is a modified form still stands behind the track opposite the current building. The railway station became a transshipment point for Kladno coal in Prague, the importance of which gradually increased during the industrial revolution. In 1863, the railway was rebuilt on steam engine propulsion by Buštěhradská dráha. From 1868, the railway was extended through a tunnel in the Royal Game Reserve to the Prague-Bubny railway station. It is connected to the line of the Austrian State Railways, and trains can travel via the Negrelli viaduct to the State, now Masaryk railway station. In the 1860s, the original building was first rebuilt, then a water reservoir (1872), and in 1873 a new station building was built.
During the First Republic, President T. G. Masaryk used the station for trips to the Lány chateau. In 1927, a presidential lounge with an access ramp and a different platform was established.
