DIY Balustrade System for Steel Posts
Script-
Welcome to Miami Stainless TV
Today we are installing the Standard DIY Balustrade System using metal posts. For this system you will require a HS-14CR Hand Swaging Tool and a pop rivet tool.
After providing Miami Stainless with your inside to inside post measurements (picture) and receive your wire and fittings you can begin by drilling two 4mm rivet holes at the required spacing to match the saddles supplied, into the end and corner posts, and 4mm holes through intermediate posts at the required spacings.
Slide one end of your wire through a swage sleeve and guide it around your thimble, complete the loop by inserting the end of the wire back through the swage sleeve leaving 2mm of protruding wire. Swage the sleeve twice, slightly apart on setting 3.
Feed your saddle through and fix it to the 4mm pre-drilled holes in your post by inserting your pop rivets using the pop rivet tool.
Run the wire through your intermediate posts and cut it 100mm shorter than the distance to the inside face of the end post.
Make another eye in your wire using a thimble and swage.
Attach a saddle to the opposite end post using pop rivets.
Remove the split pin and ring from the opposite end of the bottlescrew and reconnect to the saddle.
Remove the split ring and pin from the bottlescrew and reconnect to the eye in the wire.
With all of your wires attached you can tension them by turning the middle section of the bottlescrew using a ProRig multi tool.
Lock the system in place by tightening the hex nut.
