I've been using a thrift store find 80-205mm zoom lens from the 70s for a while now, but as I started getting more into bird photography, I started needing more reach.
As always, I tried to find the best value for my money, and after deciding the opteka 500mm wasn't good enough quality for me I found something for the same price but used.
I found the Tokina SD 400mm f5.6 with Minolta MD mount on eBay for $99cad, and after a short trip to Amazon for a Newer MD-NEX adapter, I was set.
