your old camera is still alright - SONY A7R III in 2023

For video, filming in slog3 there's enough dynamic range to film in the most challenging environments, the 8bit codec is a hindrance for "pro" grade color grading... but if you're publishing online... whatever you film will be compressed to 8 bit anyways... learning how to get everything right in camera is a great skills to have!
