This is a short video of the April 27, 1965 Major League Baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the White Sox in Chicago, won by the White Sox, 10-1.
It is from WHDH television of Boston's broadcast of the game, with Curt Gowdy and Ned Martin on play by play.
Tony Conigliaro homers for the Red Sox in the second inning, but after that it's all Chicago in this one at White Sox Park.
Sox starter Bill Monbouquette (1-2) struggled in four innings, giving up four runs (two earned) and six hits, walking two and striking out five.
Don Buford and pitcher John Buzhardt each had two RBIs for the White Sox, and Buzhardt went the distance, allowing the one run on six hits, with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Notes: Danny Cater with the White Sox? Who knew? ... It was pronounced Buzz-ard, not Buzz-hart? Who knew?
