Loggins emphasized that no one sought his permission to use the track, which he would have denied, and called for its immediate removal. He expressed concern that his iconic song, made famous by Top Gun, had been linked to a divisive post. Loggins underscored the importance of unity, saying, “Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together,” stressing that Americans should embrace music as a unifying force rather than fuel for division. The meme also attracted public attention from the targeted protester, Harry Sisson, who questioned why Trump posted the A.I. video, prompting Vice President JD Vance to respond that he would ask Trump on Sisson’s behalf. The White House has not commented on the matter.
