Drop Dead Diva is a comedy-drama series created by Josh Berman. The show follows Deb, a shallow model who dies and is reincarnated in the body of Jane Bingum (played by Brooke Elliott), a plus-size, brilliant lawyer. As Jane, she navigates her career, love life, and personal growth while blending Deb’s memories with her new, more thoughtful persona. The series explores themes of body image, self-acceptance, and second chances. Brooke Elliott's performance earned her a Gracie Award for Outstanding Female Lead in a Drama. The show also received a People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite TV Actress in a New Comedy. Other actors in the show include Margaret Cho (as Teri Lee), Kate Levering (as Kim Kaswell), Grayson Berry (as Grayson Kent), and Jackson Hurst (as Parker Lee).
