Another song I've been meaning to do my version of for ages and I finally got around to scoring it. Score available via e-mail.
It's in F minor as I found I prefer the sound and feel to the original D minor. The inspiration for this comes from George Shearing's extraordinary experimental late period recording on his album "Favorite Things" hence the introduction and a fairly slow tempo. (The nervous tension of making a recording made it a bit too fast here I think). Shearing's tempo is much slower and varied. So varied in fact, it's remarkable that somehow he manages to keep a sense of rhythm. I was going to record it on my acoustic piano but decided it needed the strong bass tones of a long piano so ended up choosing to use the Roland mixing audio out with the piano speaker sound.
