How to Draw Up Botox For Chronic Migraine Treatment For PREEMPT Protocol

This is a video showing how to draw up Botox (Onabotulinum Toxin A) in preparation for the treatment of chronic migraine according to the PREEMPT protocol.
The PREEMPT protocol was the pattern used in a 2010 clinical research publication, in which the FDA subsequently approved Botox (Onabotulinum Toxin A) for the treatment of chronic migraine. It remains the only FDA approved treatment specifically designated by the FDA for the treatment of chronic migraine in adults age 18 and older. Chronic migraine is defined as 15 or more days of headache per month for 3 or more consecutive months, of which 8 or more days have migrainous qualities (including symptoms such as throbbing/pounding, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound).
The actual procedure of performing Botox (Onabotulinum Toxin A) according to the PREEMPT protocol will be provided in a separate video.
To draw up Botox, you will need:
-(4) 1 cc (1 ml) syringes
-(4) 30G 1/2 inch needles
-(1) 22G (preferable) or 18G needle (to withdraw Botox solution and diluent)
-(1) 3 cc (3 ml) syringe (to withdraw 0.9% normal saline, or other diluent such as 0.25% bupivicaine)
-(1) bottle of 0.9% normal saline diluent (or other diluent such as 0.25% bupivicaine)
-(2) 100 unit vials (or 1 vial of 200 units) of Botox (Onabotulinum Toxin A)
-(1) alcohol wipe
