Transcription of Django Reinhardt on "Mélodie au crépuscule" (1.2.1946)

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted anything but pandemic times are hard to handle, in many ways. Hope you 're all doing alright and standing healthy and strong.
Here is my little celebration for Django's 112th birthday and Stephane's 114th, a few days later.
This time it's one of my favourite tunes (😄I'll never get tired of saying this) in the repertoire, in fact one of my favourite tunes, period.
Not long ago did I discover that this was in fact written by Joseph Reinhardt "(Always credited to Django Reinhardt but written by Joseph Reinhardt - as per Michael Dregni/Francis-Alfred Moerman/Matelo Ferret)".
It was recorded a number of times by the Master and one can only be thankful for that:

What can one say about that level of expressiveness, the lyricism, the feel, the phrasing ... oohhh so good it hurts.

Wrapping this up pretty quickly, let me thank each and every one of you beautiful people for supporting and enjoying what I do. I know it sounds super-cliche but truly, it never entered my mind that almost 1000 people would be interested in this stuff. And truth is, I get a lot of comments and mail on posting some form of video lessons or at least tabs. I have already began the process of writing things down. However, there is quite a lot of controversy in my mind regarding what's best. I am openly against tabs, as I feel they give an easy (and usually incorrect) answer (as in instant gratification) but prevent you from building the (musical) muscles that one needs to hear and play better. I 'm not saying you're not going to get better if/because you read tabs. Just saying that by reading numbers on lines while trying to produce sounds on the guitar, one gets trained in doing that. The more one does this, the more his mind is trained to do so, ultimately giving less attention to LISTENING or SEARCHING for alternatives (Just like someone who has been playing for 20 years "All of me" and still needs the chart in front of him). For me these two are THE most basic aspects of being a good improviser.
Many of you have been asking me if I have a Patreon site or if I'm up for it and the truth is, it's been on my mind for quite some time now. My thought would be to keep doing what I do on my YT page, then have a page where I post vids that guide you step by step yes, with tabs but most importantly with detailed explanation of the why's and how's. Up for discussion will also be the subject of "using only 2 fingers" vs "using all four" for every video. Of course this site will not be only about playing Django with 2 fingers. Tunes, repertoire, improvisation skills and ideas, technique, stuff we all need to work on to become better and other stuff I have in mind. What do you people think? How many of you would be interested in a page like that? Better yet, what would you like the page to cover? Let me know in the comments and let's try to set it up.
