We ended the week with a 400m workout. 350-250-250-175-175. 3:49
5 min rest after the 350 and 4 min after everything else.

This was Wills first track workout in over 2 months since finding out he had a stress fracture. He did pretty good for not being able to run for that long. After the workout he talks about why it’s important to be in tune with your body and to not take being healthy for granted (7:24).He also discusses that if you do get injured, you have to look back and understand why it happen.

In a sport like track and field, athletes are constantly breaking down their bodies. As I get older I am understanding that sometimes it’s better to rest then to continue burying yourself. Although I do believe it is important to get buried at times to truly know how much you can handle. In most cases there is more in you than you think. In my experience I see that most people back away from training when it gets tough when in reality they should push for more. I’ve found theres a fine line and if go over it too far it can be damaging. Just like if you back away it can be holding you back from greatness.
