After 10 years of dropping the album Nayan in 2008 - an album dedicated to Abhaya's father Nayan Prakash Subba, we are releasing the other songs in the album besides Timro Laagi into the internet. This album was in response to the way the older generation reacted to our first eponymous album in 2005 where a lot of them took offence or were not impressed by Abhaya's aggressive style of singing. After realizing that her father was rather hesitant to share AATSI's work to his fellow musician friends - the band decided to explore and mix the chill side of Nepali folk music as well as their understanding of rock music. The first song that eventually inspired #timrolaagi is in fact Aauna deu. Hope you have time to listen to all other songs from Nayan included in our upcoming Jukebox upload.
