The Deep Front Line is a fascial line that runs from the sole of the foot, up through the inner thighs, pelvis, psoas, diaphragm, and deep neck muscles. It plays a crucial role in maintaining upright posture and core stability.
When we balance on the roller, the instability activates these deep core muscles. The psoas, pelvic floor, and diaphragm engage subtly to keep the body steady.
This type of release and activation helps improve alignment, supports the lumbar spine, and enhances the body’s ability to stabilise efficiently during movement.
Using the roller to access the Deep Front Line also improves proprioception – the body’s awareness of its position in space – which is essential for balance and functional movement.
By targeting this fascial line, we not only release tension but also strengthen our deep stabilising system for long-term structural health.
