The need to enhance social cohesion and trade among nations in the African continent has seen the Kiswahili language increase in popularity and hence its adoption in countries that previously did not recognize it. South Africa is the latest to adopt it as an additional language in schools. And as our reporter Gladys Mungai found out during a trip to Durban, this development has reciprocal benefits between South Africa and other countries in the continent
