The recent heatwave conditions have resulted in a cessation of fishing for me over the last few weeks. Thankfully, the temperatures this week have returned to normal, but the lack of any serious rain has left many of our rivers a bit low. This little Dartmoor stream is my go-to in these conditons as I've found over the years that it's actually easier to fish in low water. The dry fly fishing here can often be a bit frantic at normal levels. You do have to seek out the deeper areas, but this is a bonus as they're usually out of bounds.
