Example on how to design restaurant's tipper system using fuzzy logic. Defuzzifiction methods covered are Center of Area (COA) and Bisector of Area (BOA).
For the BOA fuzzy example in the slide, there is some mistake of the inserted value which is supposed to 0.5 instead of 0.55. As the consequent, the bisected line (BL) will lie in an area 2 which is trapezoid. To solve this you need to rely on two equations : 1) from remaining area of trapezoid after being bisected 2) from triangle of Medium membership.
