What can we use to tackle the problems of waste? How is social media involved in the sale of drugs?
Here at UCL Engineering, we are committed to teaching and research that changes the world. At this Spring into STEM session, we'll be exploring two very different angles to this challenge.
You'll hear talks from two experts from very different backgrounds, but with a shared commitment to transforming something harmful to people or the planet into something positive. Ashely Fuller will present her research on preventing the sale of drugs on social media; followed by Jack Jefferies, who looks at how enzymes can be also be used to deal with the global plastic problem.
Speakers: Ashly Fuller, PhD Researcher in Online Safety, Department of Security and Crime Science. Dr Jack Jeffries, Lecturer in Biocatalysis and Biocatalyst Engineering, Department of Biochemical Engineering
