Tegan and Sara - LONG story about school (Tegan sits down!)

this song has nothing to do with what I'm about to tell you, we graduated 10 years this year and seems like some of you here are in high school, all headed for retirement home, I fucking hated high school, not because I was bad at school or unpopular (Tegan: Sara was both), i hated high school because I liked to talk, liked to be involved with what was being taught, lot of violence, (spotlight on sara), like that movie with coolio in it, dangerous minds, and Michelle Pfeiffer wasn't a teacher, you fucking distracted with me that whole Michelle Pfeiffer thing!, teachers just wanted pay check, and that irritated me, there's always going to be one who yells at you, maybe in the family they grew up in the mum would always talk, sorry sorry, focus focus, only 2 more songs, however long you let me talk is going to extend the set, in a class where you talk about life things, the teacher has a speaker come in about stds, they're not popular in Canada either, class gets out of control (Tegan sits), Sara threw a chair, ran out of classroom, didn't have to go back anymore, had to take it in library by myself, told teacher who wanted to come back she didn't feel "safe" anymore, didn't do anything in library rest of year, sometimes in a band real big fucking knobs love you to, and you're rocking out, and you see the knob in the audience, and in that person I see the prick from highschool, and I think "why are you here?!", this is a very long story, I don't think there is any fucker in this audience tonight, the reason I say that is I want you to like you, I'm gonna give you a chance to prove you are the best audience ever, this is gonna be your fave song, that's what's gonna tell me there are no fuckers in this audience
