On August 14, 2013 the Baltimore City Health Department hosted a webinar to inform city agencies on the benefits of having Community Health Workers (CHWs), the upcoming training opportunities, and the resources for CHWs in Baltimore. The webinar addressed cardiovascular disease disparities in Baltimore City, the History of CHWs, the importance of CHWs, and examples of how CHWs have been successful in Baltimore City. The webinar concluded with information on how to sign up for the two different CHW training opportunities and the additional resources the Health Department can offer.
