News Needle March 2024 - Probes Choice

Events from the real World, but mixed with the Events from the Star Trek World - thats the premise of "News Needle".

I originally planned to launch this series in 2024, because, as we all know, Sisko and his friends are visiting the United States in that year. Later, Picards Second Season also added more events in exactly the same year.

Due to some problems, the project was frozen. But as the events of the real world began catch up with the fictional events, this project became my focus again. Enhanced through the possibilites of modern AI it finally came to fruition and now you can see the results.

The goal is to combine the real world events with the Star Trek Events in the same time frame, but there are, naturally, a few inconsistencies. As a reference point I used my chronology from games-and-timelines.de, where those were (mostly) corrected. You will also find more background information about the depicted events in the Background Section below. And yes, it is a sort of fanfiction, but it also should be a news report that could've been sent in reality.

It is supposed to be published on a monthly basis and there is also an E-Paper-Version if you want to read it. The Videos itself are fully generated using AI (Vidnoz), the texts are from me. If the Picture sources are not AI, they are credited here.



So yes, I know we have 2025, but I decided to start with the "important" year 2024. It is supposed to make one issue per week, until we catch up with the actual 2025 month.

Background:
March was a bit of a shortage. As of my own specifications I wanted to present at least three headlines, with a minimum of 1 being an In-Universe-(Star Trek)-related one. I hae a Storyline for the key events in the next years, but single months can sometimes be a little short. It will be better next month, for sure!

From a real world perspective we had to take a look at the russian election (with AI-Image). Also there was the accident in Baltimore, but I kept this also rather short. First of all there is no need to tell too much about the topic and then I didn't want to overdo it with reporting about that disaster.

From the Trek-Point-of-view we again have a Space Report (even though I wanted to reduce it a little bit due to April-Events). According to Spaceflight Chronology there should be some Probes launching in the next years and thats why I detailled their background and production. The AI-Image is therefor only a placeholder. The end mentions a bright future to come: a bit ironic forshadowing the Third World War.
