Friday at the farm

Ooooh it was chilly and raining at the farm today! There was fog in the valley and up in the bush and we were breathing out steam with each breath ... at only 12-14 degrees Celsius we weren’t going to sit still today!

Zeta took her position right next to Luke and that’s where she stayed all day not taking her eyes off him. Zeety is getting a special holiday at the farm this weekend so she will be extra excited to hear that news this afternoon when the bus leaves and she’s not on it!

Bruce can’t start a farm trip without sliding down the grass hill. He has this big smile on his face and it’s like that big morning stretch before he starts his day!

Tangy didn’t disappoint with her excited 360s in anticipation for the quad bike to start ... her absolute favourite activity at the farm!

Old boys Jelly and Charlie slept in today. Charlie wasn’t happy about mum not waking him up to see the bus arrive but he didn’t waste time once he woke up and quickly he trotted down to the playground to greet everyone!

Today we really put the new Winter pool area to the test. Today’s temperature was just 12-14 degrees Celsius, that’s chilly for us Aussies, plus it was raining. So we cranked the heated magnesium pool up to almost 34 degrees Celsius so that when the cover came off it would sit at a very comfortable 32! The steam was coming off the pool, the fire was roaring and the pizza arrived. The dogs were very excited!

We got every doggy in several times at least making sure that everyone got warm, moved those legs in the water and absorbed some of that magnesium.

It was a wonderful afternoon, enjoyed by both doggies and humans ... even Adam couldn’t resist and jumped in!

After a big afternoon it was time to go home, but not before a certain someone knocked on the door and sat in his armchair and refused to go home.

When the dogs left on the bus, a big fog rolled in through the valley. We made a fire inside and all the dogs sleeping over for the weekend found their spots for the evening and fell asleep straight away. All that’s left now is to put a Friday night movie on!
