In deel 2 van The rehearsals vertellen o.a. eerste solisten Matthew Golding en Anna Tsygankova meer over Christopher Wheeldons gloednieuwe Cinderella. De karakters krijgen bij Wheeldon diepgang -- Assepoester wordt niet slechts als slachtoffer geportretteerd -- en door te kiezen voor een bijna cinematografische aanpak geeft hij het sprookje kleur en vaart.

Christopher Wheeldon is creating an enchanting story of Cinderella, based on the version by the Brothers Grimm. Wheeldon gives depth to the characters in his ballet. Cinderella is portrayed not only as a victim, and the prince plays a bigger role than usual. Dancers of the Dutch National Ballet tell you more in a two-piece documentary about the characters and the rehearsals.
