Tour de France 1987 -- Stephen Roche wins his 1st Tour, becoming the 1st Irishman to ever win the biggest event in cycling, defeating Spanish climbing sensation Pedro Delgado in a Tour missing its defending champion from 1986, Greg LeMond.
Part 9 of 12 : The legendary 21-switchback slopes of L'Alpe d'Huez provide the drama for Stage 20 as Pedro Delgado seeks to take enough time out of Stephen Roche to claim Yellow for himself. The Spaniard rides inspired by the memory of his Mother on the 1-year anniversary of her death. As always, Alpe d'Huez brings the epic human drama we've come to expect... enjoy!
