Kalkwasser is probably my personal favorite calcium and alkalinity solution because it’s the lowest cost, in some ways the easiest to implement, one of the only long term solutions for maintaining an elevated PH near 8.3 and perfectly suitable for all but the heaviest demand tanks.

We are going to share the basics and some of the science behind kalkwasser, the benefits and drawbacks , the three primary methods of incorporating kalkwasser into your reef tank and finish with what a potential installation would look like for the BRS160.
