This took me about 30 minutes from deeming it possible to being able to do it consistently.
I was the first person to reveal this to the world and this video is the reveal.
You need to run around the inner area and then jump onto the wheel to trigger the catapult. Then jump onto the box and move to the outer edge. Double jump very shortly after the stone respawns on the catapult. It requires quite precise timing.
This is not only useful for Any%, because it skips a cutscene and all the fights, but especially for Low%, because fighting the 1000 Romans without a combo is quite hard and takes ~20 minutes, and for 100%, because you can run back through the first gate to collect the 2nd laurel.
You can beat Rome now, without harming a single roman.
