Catharsis playing at St. Stephens Church in Washington, DC. This show was a benefit for HEAL Palestine. This was also one of the shows I was looking forward to the most this past month, as every band on the bill (except for Skallar) were bands that I was fully into a few years ago. To have the opportunity to witness Catharsis play live is one that I cherish heavily. They were completely fantastic too, not skipping any beats after their long hiatus. Hearing the riffs to "Arsonist's Prayer" truly elevated my entire month. Catharsis is a band that you would be stupid not to check out.

Catharsis is a metalcore band from Greensboro, NC. After a long 26 years since their last album, Passion, they released their newest album, Hope Against Hope, on August 1st, 2025.
