What Combustible Hazards Does Fike Protect Against?

Many industrial processes handle dust from wheat, corn, wood, sugar and even plastics and metals, all of which are considered combustible. When this dust is suspended and confined, one spark or other ignition source may ignite the dust cloud.

Fike provides every step required in the explosion protection process: consultancy, dust testing, risk analysis, system design, system manufacturing and field service - all of which are necessary to support safety, compliance and peace of mind for our customers.

Where Does the Service Technician Role Fit?

This position fills an essential role by installing, commissioning and maintaining our customers’ explosion protection systems. You’ll ensure the protection system, which may include a series of explosion suppression and chemical isolation bottles, mechanical isolation valves, pressure and optical detectors, and a detection and control panel, works as it’s designed if and when called upon.
