Drive & Drive b/w Hyde Park is the double-lead single, out in tandem on Monday 6/24, announcing a full-band hemlock album, '444', releasing October 11, 2024. The record is made up of selects from a half-decade long (so far) song-a-day project from one month out of each year.

The twelve songs that the album consists of were all previously released by front-person Carolina as solo iPhone recordings over the past five years, but were fully reimagined in this mostly-live, two-day-long, intensive studio session at In The Pocket (Chicago, IL) in November, 2023, with collaborative arrangements by a beloved midwestern band featuring Andy Krull, Bailey Minzenberger, and Jack Henry (known as Chicago music scene bastions and members of Friko, Free Range, Red PK).

Coming out the gate with "Drive & Drive", hemlock launches into laments of the routine whiplash of being an independent touring musician, but treks stubbornly onward with hopes of trying again tomorrow.
It pushes their sound to a more expansive place than ever before, re-forging their sonic horizon from folk, onward.
