Franz Josef & Fox Glacier (glaciers amongst the rainforest) / Easy Lake Mathieson walk - New Zealand

Two of the most accessible glaciers in the world: Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier are located on the West Coast of New Zealand. We stayed at the town of Franz Josef Glacier while we explore the two glaciers and Lake Mathieson.

Near the township of Fox Glacier is Lake Mathieson. This lake is a famous spot for capturing the reflections of the towering mountains on the water on a sunny day. The lake’s peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect location for a relaxing walk.

After a day of walking we decided to unwind. We made our way to Waiho Tub. The tub was positioned strategically offering a view of the surrounding trees and lush greeneries. We ended the night by having dinner at a local restaurant in town. Our choice or restaurant serve Philippine dishes.
