In this episode, I explain the science behind intercoolers and how they work. I also install the Process West Verticooler and explain how well it works, especially when compared to the stock intercooler. Its probably one of if not THE BEST intercooler designed for the WRX. The mounting angle of the Australian Designed intercooler allows for air to move through the intercooler much more efficiently compared to the stock intercooler.

This is the hardest mod I have ever attempted and honestly, was very daunting. However, there are some good tutorials on youtube and detailed instructions that come with the kit that make your life a bit easier. This video is not a tutorial for that reason. Its also worth noting that the intercooler heat soaking is only one of many reasons that the car starts to slack off after driving for a prolonged period of time. Another large factor in the car slacking off is the fuel heating up as it circulates and expanding before it gets used up for a combustion reaction. That being said, having cool, dense air going into the engine is always a good thing and this is a definite must have mod for your car.
