This rarely-seen socio-realist documentary foregrounds the lives of migrant Irish labourers in Britain of the 1960s. Labouring sequences and interviews are interwoven with the journey of a young man from a remote village in the West of Ireland to London. Enriched by a score supervised by Seamus Ennis, with the traditional Irish singing of Paul Lenihan and Joe Heaney and the lyrics of Peggy Seeger and Ewan McColl. [Note: Initial few seconds incl. the film title is truncated]
