Especially for high-speed vessels like Container Carriers, Owners prefer bulb retrofits as an efficiency improvement method. Since the replacement needs to be performed while the vessel is in dry condition, project execution is planned in line with the vessel's routine docking period.
Gemak Group concluded block erection and painting of 120 tons weight new bulbous bow within 18 days of the docking period including another emission reduction solution, and silicon paint application of the hull. Yard’s advanced infrastructure including gantry cranes up to 570 Ton lifting capacity, highly skilled design office staff, and its own SPMT units have significant role for the success.
