ORGANIZERS- Subhro Bhattacharjee (ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru), Arindam Ghosh (IISc, Bengaluru, India), Rajesh Gopakumar (ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru), Sumathi Rao (ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru) and Sthitadhi Roy (ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru)
DATE & TIME- 28 July 2025 to 29 July 2025
VENUE- Madhava Lecture Hall, ICTS Bengaluru
Over the past few decades, the crucial role of non-trivial many-body entanglement in underpinning fascinating and unconventional quantum matter phases, such as those exhibiting fractionalized low-energy excitations, has become increasingly clear. Prominent examples include the Fractional Quantum Hall effect, with its established experimental realisations, and quantum spin liquids, for which several material candidates are actively being explored. These two vibrant research frontiers continue to drive our understanding of long-range entangled phases, fostering a rich exchange of ideas between them. Furthermore, certain concepts and instances from these areas offer valuable perspectives on the controlled manipulation of quantum systems within hybrid platforms. To delve into the latest advancements in these exciting fields in this two-day discussion meeting, we aim to bring together leading experts from both India and abroad for an intensive exchange of knowledge.
