Ron with Guerrilla Publishing drove down to the Tulsa County Courthouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma to confront drunk judge Sharon Holmes. The COUNCIL ON JUDICIAL COMPLAINTS is currently looking into due to an alleged DUI caught on camera. While there Ron is yelled at, detained, and eventually arrested for simply walking into a courtroom.

Dear Chief Justice and Associate Justices,

I write to urgently request immediate action regarding Judge Sharon Holmes of the 14th Judicial District. Ronald E. Durbin II clearly documented Judge Holmes' repeated incidents of public intoxication, a behavior that, under the Oklahoma Constitution, disqualifies her from holding judicial office. Judge Holmes' conduct not only tarnishes the legal profession, it undermines the integrity of the judiciary.

Holmes’ public intoxication was followed by an even more egregious act: she operated a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. This reckless decision endangered all citizens on the road that day.  Most importantly, Judge Holmes placed her minor grandchild in the front seat of the vehicle before driving.  Oklahoma law, makes it a FELONY to operate a motor vehicle with a minor present while intoxicated. Despite these serious offenses, Judge Holmes faces ZERO accountability.

The upcoming election  in just two (2) weeks presents Oklahoma voters with the opportunity to decide whether or not to retain members of the judiciary. While such a non-retention vote may seem unprecedented, these circumstances warrant decisive action. We strongly urge you to remove Judge Sharon Holmes from her position immediately to restore public trust in the system.

Furthermore, I would like to address the matter of Ronald Durbin's suspension. While we understand the reasons behind this Court’s decision, those reasons are UTTERLY ABSURD.  We believe that Durbin's actions, rather than discrediting the profession, brought necessary attention to corruption within the judicial system. His willingness to speak out, a right protected by the First Amendment, should be commended, not punished.

The suspension of Mr. Durbin without formal hearing is both unjust and alarming. While his communication style may not suit everyone, those of us who follow his content appreciate his educational insights, and as adults, we have no objection to his use of language, including curse words. It is time for this Court to rectify the mistake of suspending Durbin and restore his license. Though he may not wish to continue practicing, he deserves the opportunity to leave the profession with his reputation intact, free from unwarranted blemishes.

Please, honor your oath to uphold the Constitution, remove Judge Holmes, and reinstate Ronald Durbin. In doing so, you will help restore faith in our justice system
