This LEGO build isn't square

This design is a variation on a smaller build ('Hinging Squares') scaled down to make things easier to iterate:    • Building a LEGO Hinging Square  

I think I'm calling this one 'Hinging Squares within Squares within Squares'. No, it does not roll off the tongue, but it's fairly accurate considering how dynamic and complex this build/pattern is. I see this as a geometric art piece that you could hang on your wall, and then change it up whenever you like. Not how a typical piece of art behaves, but that's the magic of it. 😊

Note: Like all of my kinetic LEGO builds, after a few rounds of 'hinging' the plates need to be tightened down--otherwise they start to pop off, which makes it a bit less fun 🤪
