The Wagga Wagga 3 Man tournament is held a few times a year and normally consists of up to 9 teams competing in one Open Division. A number of players from Canberra joined the team at the last minute to fill in the gaps in their roster.

The 3-Man Paintball Tournament in Wagga Wagga is a long-running competition built around three-player teams, providing a fast-paced and approachable entry point into the world of tournament paintball. Held at 7 Gillard Rd, the event strikes a balance between structured, competitive play and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Teams of three—plus an optional fourth player for rotation—compete under clear tournament rules, including timed matches and capped rates of fire. Multiple divisions are offered, making the format suitable for beginners as well as more experienced competitors.
Games in the Wagga 3-Man series are deliberately quick and high-energy, usually lasting five to six minutes and using mercy rules like a two-point limit to keep matches flowing. Entry costs are straightforward, and organisers emphasise that while the competition is well run, the social side is equally important. Many events end with a player get-together, helping build a sense of community among participants.
Today, the Wagga Wagga 3-Man series remains a key stepping stone for players moving from casual paintball into formal competition. The tournament runs several times a year, with some rounds specifically aimed at first-time players. With qualified referees, consistent rule enforcement, and smooth event coordination, it offers a safe and professionally managed environment for all teams. Although centred in Wagga Wagga, the series draws players from all over New South Wales and occasionally collaborates with events in Coffs Harbour, expanding its reach across the region.
Overall, the Wagga Wagga 3-Man tournament series provides an easy and enjoyable way for newcomers to experience competitive paintball, while still delivering real challenge and excitement for developing teams. Its small-team format, supportive community, and well-organised events have made it a respected and popular entry point within the Australian paintball scene.
